Does CountryHawk rely on reverse-DNS to determine the country information? I have tried such methods in the past and they tend to be slow and not very accurate.

CountryHawk does not use or rely on reverse-DNS lookups to determine country information.
On the contrary, CountryHawk uses our highly efficient memory resident database which maps IP addresses to their corresponding country. This results in instant lookups with great accuracy for over 4 billion IP addreses within 240+ countries.
