I'd like to completely back out BrowserHawk and get a clean uninstall so I can install it again from scratch. I've run the automatic uninstaller from Control Panel but it has left a few things behind. What is the procedure for getting a clean uninstall?

By design a registry entry and a couple of small files are left behind after using the Add/Remove Programs option to uninstall BrowserHawk. This is done to preserve your settings to make upgrading (where you need to uninstall first in some cases) easier.
Follow these instructions if you wish to get a clean uninstall of BrowserHawk:
-
Go to Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs and choose BrowserHawk from the list and select Remove.
-
Reboot if prompted to by the uninstaller.
-
Using regedit highlight the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\cyScape key and delete it. This will remove this registry key and all child keys.
-
Delete your \Program Files\cyScape\BrowserHawk directory and any subdirectories
-
Check your system directory to make sure there is no cyscapesvr.dll or cyscape.dll files. If either of these files exist, unregister the DLLs by entering "regsvr32 /u cyscapesvr.dll" and "regsvr32 /u cyscape.dll", and then remove the files.
