In some cases BrowserHawk is detecting IE 8, IE 9, IE 10, and as IE 7. Why?

By design BrowserHawk detects IE 8 and higher running in IE 7 Compatibility View Mode as IE 7.
To check for the real version of IE, regardless of whether its running in emulation mode, use the IECompatibilityMode property introduced in BrowserHawk 15.
WHen IECompatibilityMode is set to true, you can use the BrowserBuild property to determine what the actual version of IE is.
Note that the IECompatibilityMode and BrowserBuild properties are extended properties so you must do an extended property check first (using GetExtPropertiesEx for ActiveX and GetExtendedBrowser for .NET and J4) before checking these properties.
